The internet is a curious place. Who knew that this little love card with rainbows and unicorns would tickle the world wide web so? Obviously  M&D designer Mademoiselle Michelle did. Mitchell & Dent sold dozens of these little heart you cards overnight, thanks to bloggity blogs and RSS feeds. Best be quick if you too, love your loved-one more than rainbows and unicorns.

Breath lessening? Eyes dilating? Warm glow spreading to your fingertips? Scribblers, doodlers and colour-inerers all, behold… Social Designer (US sellers of goods for the greater good) has a very good idea. 500 pencils, 25 pencils delivered to your door per month, 20 months. I like the look of lemon ghost, little red wagon, Hawaiian sky, Lucy, sea captain and silver sword. You?

Sweetness and light

Olivia Bolles‘ sweet photography has captured our hearts. We adore the way she plays with light and are mighty impressed by her storytelling ability. It’s hard to believe she’s only 15 years old. What a bright spark.

Paper view

January 27, 2010 / By Madame Dent / 2 comments

Mallory from Maine knows where the lovely things are. And she pops them all on her blog, called, er… Where the Lovely Things Are. One of her loveliest picks is UK illustrator and set designer Hattie Newman. Hattie was a part of the oh-so-clever collective that made a papery world for YCN. Quick sticks then, two sites-for-sighing-over today and the boss could walk by at any moment.

Fredmund from Frankie

We love you Frankie. Not only are you our favourite national magazine who actually takes the time to pimp Perthonalities (like good friends Little Design Horse, Distracted Merchants of Fancy, Champ and Rosie, Last Chance Studio, Little Miso, Gene Eaton, Unwrapped and oh, too too blush-making, Mitchell & Dent), but you also made us these wallpapers. Smacks of effort.

Make believe

These little lovelies have been cleverly crafted by Sydney-based illustrator Kareena Zerefos. Capturing the imaginary worlds of children with pen, gouache, tea and ink, who wouldn’t want to see a flying elephant on their wall?
