This image makes me feel like just a kid in a candy shop… oh wait. Thankyou Barton’s Bonbonniere for being so very delicious. Thankyou architect Victor Gruen and design consultant Alvin Lustig. Thankyou Architectural Forum August 1952. Thankyou most wonderful Flickr gal Sandi Vincent (aka Sandiv999), officer of the Mid-Century Modern League (Portland Metro Area branch). Thankyou. Thankyou very much.

Two dogs, a goat and a monkey. You wouldn’t think they would get along, but in the marvellous medium of crayons Team Mitchell & Dent are actually dandelion, green-yellow and blue-grey and that is a damn nice colour palette. US-Vietnamese artist Diem Chau‘s delightful and delicate horoscope carvings are a testament to her steady hands and her blog is a testament to The Pleasure of Tiny Things.

These birdies are much sweeter than the ones sat outside my window at 5am. Bird in the Bush stackable ceramic cups not only save space, but look delightful perched on anyone’s kitchen bench.

Well done Custard Cream. In a biscuit-related poll, you’ve been named number one by the Brits. You must be mighty chuffed, but I bet your friend the Jammy Dodger is a bit miffed. It’s OK. He can be comforted by the Iced Gems, not to mention the Blackpool Rock and Spotted Dick. Not those Strawberries and Cream though, they’ve got tickets on themselves, all that time spent in the royal box at Wimbledon. Bet they wouldn’t help a biscuit when it’s down.

Mittens. Ladybirds. Jam tarts. None of these things are quite so cute as London’s Me Me Me‘s ceramics.

It is so sunny and toasty warm out today. The Mesdames would quite like to be at the beach. Only, if we were at the beach we would probably just loll about and get sand in our swimmers. Not at all like Made for Fun in the US who finds beach stones to drill by hand and turn into these touchy feely buttons.

Oh, macramé owl, welcome home. Where have you been since 1972? Thankfully Australian designer Tamara Maynes has rediscovered and recrafted you in all your beady, ropey, tied-uppedy glory.

We’re fans of ReForm School‘s online shop here, but it is thanks to the eagle-eyed Irene at M&D’s favourite blog Bloesem, that we found their Pen Pal Club. Send your name and address details to rollcall@reformschoolrules and you can correspond snail-mail style with folks all over the world. The cutest of cute ideas. What’s a stamp, again?
