All stitched up

August 15, 2010 / By The Mesdames / Make a comment

Madame Mitchell is very clever, she made this incredible typeface that looks stitched. So if you’re all stitched up in the romance department and planning on tying the knot any time soon, you might love the Love Stitch wedding stationery suite. Pretty and pastel and ready to print, find out more by visiting the Mitchell & Dent website, requesting the newest catalogue or ordering a sample pack.

And, did you notice the lovely spools of ribbon? Thanks Distracted for helping us out with those and once again, the photography is by the clever Angela Higgins.

Made just for you, yes you

August 13, 2010 / By The Mesdames / Make a comment

If like Mitchell & Dent; you live for sweet-scented blooms in vintage cut-glass vases, silk-embroidered shawls with impossibly long fringing, sugarcakes and cups of black tea in pretty china over crocheted cotton doilies, then Vintage Floral is the wedding suite we made just for you. You might be a niche market, but we don’t care! And besides Vintage Floral is open to other options. She would be equally as happy announcing a high tea or a baby shower. Just don’t expect her to slap on a pair of snakeskin boots and rock out with the boys.

If you please

Meet Mayfair – Mitchell & Dent‘s hardest working wedding suite design. Mayfair can be printed or letterpressed (or both, perhaps a letterpressed invitation with printed accompanying stationery?). Mayfair looks lovely on kraft or our super-thick and squishy white cotton paper stock. Mayfair looks lovely in a whole host of colours. If Mayfair pleases you, do visit the website to find out more, request our newest catalogue or order a sample pack.

Oh, and how lovely are Angela Higgin‘s images of Mayfair? Clever little shutterbug, she is.

A pretty preview

August 11, 2010 / By The Mesdames / 1 comment

My goodness, we have a lot to tittle tattle about. Mitchell & Dent have just returned from a little jetsetting jaunt over to the eastern side of the country, but before we launch into our musings about Melbourne, we want to show you something. In our absence, the too too clever Angela Higgins delivered her incredible images of the new Mitchell & Dent wedding stationery. We must also thank the lovely Fiona from Antiquitea for lending us a little of her vintage china for the shoot and you can’t top Leederville’s François for mouth-watering macaroons.

This is the letterpressed Woodland Crest suite. To take a peek visit the website, order a sample pack or request a catalogue of designs, options and pricing.

A sneak peek

June 10, 2010 / By Madame Dent / 3 comments

Madame Mitchell does not approve of glitter and gaudiness and simply cannot abide an unattractive wedding invitation, so Mitchell & Dent has been beavering away to make pretty with paper. Here is your first peek at the results – the letterpressed Ampersand wedding stationery suite.

Madame Dent has been working hard too, but mostly in the hopes of being invited to more weddings. She likes cake and champagne.

Find us amongst the frocks and frou frou at our very first bridal fair…
Perth Bridal Expo, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th June, 9am to 5:30pm, Burswood Resort Grand Ballroom, $15

100layers-offbeat

Wedding season is about to hit with full force. No need to panic as M&D have another two splendid sites for blushing brides-to-be.

100 Layer Cake is a beautiful blog overflowing with charming wedding ideas and do it yourself tips. If you’re a wee bit crafty you will find plenty of pretty to tickle you pink.

Offbeat Bride is the perfect inspiration for brides who are bored with traditional fare. It will have you ditching your silk pumps for rollerskates and boogying down the aisle to Dirty Dancing’s ‘The time of my Life’. M&D would like to thank the lovely Miss Marie (who commented on our last wedding post) for recommending this one. Ta poppet.
