What is going on? In an era where we have easy access to the time on our phones, our tellies, our ovens, our computers and our hi-fis, why on earth would we need to wear a watch? Because they are so darn pretty, lookie lookie… 1. Starck, 2. IDEA International, 3. Nixon, 4. Starck, 5. Mr Jones Watches, 6. Nooka, 7. Nixon, 8. LIP and 9. Denise Julie Reytan (oh, and one of these things is not like the others, gotta love a jeweller with a sense of humour).

First Muji make the ridiculously adorable London in a Bag blocks, then House Industries make Girard alphabet and Eames House blocks, and now Pen Pencil Stencil has made these crazy cool Kokeshi blocks for us to play with. What’s my age again?

Two dogs, a goat and a monkey. You wouldn’t think they would get along, but in the marvellous medium of crayons Team Mitchell & Dent are actually dandelion, green-yellow and blue-grey and that is a damn nice colour palette. US-Vietnamese artist Diem Chau‘s delightful and delicate horoscope carvings are a testament to her steady hands and her blog is a testament to The Pleasure of Tiny Things.

Kev lives in West Yorkshire and digs the earth. No, he’s not a farmer (boom tish) but he makes these most wonderful notecards under the moniker Dig the Earth. As green as they can be, with 100% recycled paper stocks and environmentally responsible printing techniques, even the clear bag they are packaged in is made from corn starch and is completely biodegradable and compostable. Dig it?

At the end of a day where things just didn’t go to plan or any sort of timetable I had in mind at 8am, Blanca Gómez‘s cheery happy lala illustrations are almost as uplifting as a wee G&T. After all, it is the cosas mínimas that count.

Breath lessening? Eyes dilating? Warm glow spreading to your fingertips? Scribblers, doodlers and colour-inerers all, behold… Social Designer (US sellers of goods for the greater good) has a very good idea. 500 pencils, 25 pencils delivered to your door per month, 20 months. I like the look of lemon ghost, little red wagon, Hawaiian sky, Lucy, sea captain and silver sword. You?
