At school I always remember making chocolate shredded wheat nests for Easter, complete with those little pipe cleaner chickens. This student’s work is a little more polished. Nina Bruun is currently finishing her masters at the Danish School of Design. I bet she will get a gold star for this.

This image makes me feel like just a kid in a candy shop… oh wait. Thankyou Barton’s Bonbonniere for being so very delicious. Thankyou architect Victor Gruen and design consultant Alvin Lustig. Thankyou Architectural Forum August 1952. Thankyou most wonderful Flickr gal Sandi Vincent (aka Sandiv999), officer of the Mid-Century Modern League (Portland Metro Area branch). Thankyou. Thankyou very much.

Let us preface this post with a Mitchell & Dent design disclaimer… in our other lives as brand boffins Studio Bomba, we are so fortunate to work with energiser bunny Clara Jane. Not only is she the mother of a one year old, but she has single-handedly established not one, but two, brand new businesses.
Lad & Lass creates artworks and interiors products as shown above, wholly designed and manufactured in Western Australia. Ball and Skittle is an online emporium that carefully sources children’s play, gift and home wares that are good for imaginations, good for growing bodies, good for the environment and good for the future happiness of the world. Good for Christmas too, I’d say.
