I cannot tell you how happy this blog post makes me. Well, actually I can. As happy as a clam, as happy as a lark, as happy as a dog with a dozen tails… getting this postcard from my childhood penpal is even better than a pop tune with double hand claps. I have had the great fortune of spending time with clever chick Gemma Jones this year (read all about Miss GemĀ here and here), both in her home town of Melbourne and my home town of Perth, 3400-odd kilometres apart. We chatted about how excited ten-year-old us got when a letter arrived and thought, hey why not? Let’s do it again. And share via our blogs. And because Gemma is not the ditherer that I am, she sounded the starting pistol and got stuck in. Yippity. Now, if I could just find my sparkly pen and Garfield notepaper.

Madame Mitchell is very clever, she made this incredible typeface that looks stitched. So if you’re all stitched up in the romance department and planning on tying the knot any time soon, you might love the Love Stitch wedding stationery suite. Pretty and pastel and ready to print, find out more by visiting the Mitchell & Dent website, requesting the newest catalogue or ordering a sample pack.
And, did you notice the lovely spools of ribbon? Thanks Distracted for helping us out with those and once again, the photography is by the clever Angela Higgins.

Next time I go to the Royal Botanical Gardens, I won’t just send you a postcard, I’ll send you some garden. It’s like reality TV for the postcard industry. Up there for thinking, green thumb stationersĀ Postcarden.

Here’s one for our dear friend Dan and anyone else with a soft spot for swine. The Lovi Pig is the brainchild of Finnish designer Anne Paso and is part of a series of adorable pop out postcards the receiver assembles themselves. We love them all but this little piggy has to be our favourite.
