My cup of tea

Being ladies of distinguished taste and refinement we whole-heartedly recommend you visit The Peninsula Tea Gardens at Tranby House in Maylands (Perth) for high tea. What better way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon than sampling delectable bites (no crusts of course) and sipping tea and champagne with a coterie of amicable acquaintances?

Goody goody gum drops

What a mouth-watering sight. This sweet candy-lier is made up of 5,000 hand-strung acrylic gummi bears, there are only 10 available and each one takes up to 2 months to complete. Check out the Jellio website for giant ice cream sandwich benches and cupcake tables.

When I was a wee one, my Mum would take me shopping. We’d go to the butcher and I’d sit on the counter as he sliced the cold cuts and he’d give me a piece of polony and I would nibble holes for eyes and a smiley mouth and we’d go for a milkshake in a big shiny metal cup (I always wanted the red one) with paper straws just like these. How did you know Jack & Lulu?

Cheeky coffee

An imp is a mischevious little creature who delights in luring unsuspecting folks into temptation. The Imp cafĂ© in East Victoria Park certainly lives up to it’s name, tempting their patrons with all manner of tasty treats. The Mesdames simply adore their coffee and cakes (not to mention their cute little logo). You may even spot us there on a Sunday morning blotting out the memory of that last glass of gin with a hangover roll or a stack of pancakes with mixed berry butter (pictured above).

A trickle of colour

What a delicious sight – a wedding cake enveloped in pure white royal icing with cascading colourful confetti. Nothing says celebration quite like itty bitty coloured candy circles.

Get your kettle on the Arthur Conan, pour yourself a nice cup’o Rosy or Everton, pop these biccies on your Betty and you’ll soon be in bumble bee. Thanks to London’s Biscuiteers you can order more any time you like. Just turn on your car and scooter, lemon squeezy.
