Dancing shoes

I am sorely tempted to purchase a pair of these from Finnish folks Company. Missy Fliss Junior loves nothing better than to so see her Grandpa rock and roll at the local tavern on a Friday night and she bops around the dance floor with Mummy Miss Fliss. However, I do wonder if we can jive in them?

The mesdames Mitchell and Dent are known for being cat people, but my interests lie somewhere in the middle between cats and dogs… given a recent purchase of cute IKEA fluffy rats, I’m toying with the idea of trying to get used to the possibility, of maybe, perhaps, purchasing a pair of real rats for my near 6 year old, when she is 7. Possibly. I have a year and 31 days to consider this. In the meantime, with rats in mind, I did find this picture of a French bulldog rather cute…

Imagine my surprise when I found out that my favourite one-of-a-kind high school English teacher from days of yore has hidden talents. She makes these one-of-a-kind Diddums dolls. She’s also a singer, which I didn’t know. Singing, stitching, Shakespeare – what a combination.

Take a peek

There’s an autumn chill in the air today that reminds me of living in England. These things I miss… daffodils and crocuses, autumn leaves in Hyde Park, buying wine in the supermarket, popping over to Paris for the weekend and the opportunity to see what my friend George has done to his family home (since 1765!) – the Hodsock Priory in Nottinghamshire.
